Baptism! It's the Primary Sacrament. It was Jesus Himself who said, 'Go . . . Baptize . . . Teach." Because this action and ministry were commanded by our Lord Himself, it is known as a "Gospel Sacrament." Notice the Dove which represents the Holy Spirit Who comes to us in Baptism. Jesus Himself was baptized in the River Jordan. The river in the window is not the Jordan, but the stylized River of Life. As you look at it, let yourself feel the cleansing waters. The four youngsters pictured are any children from anywhere, and all children from everywhere. But of special interest is that the donors of this window have four daughters, now grown, and all of them baptized in All Saints, Tybee.
